Escape to Pilot Mountain

One of the first excursions we took on Road Trip 2011 was to Pilot Mountain in North Carolina.
We drove up and up and up some more to the overlook where we could see the very tippy top of the mountain. My parents and I were amazed by the view while the children played a strange version of hide and seek they created called "dwarf caves".
