Reader update

Last night when Alex and I were reading, he identified two words from his story: car (big surprise) and box. We’ve been working on his letter sounds for weeks now, and he has those down pretty well. I decided yesterday that it was time to move on to the next step, identifying words (based on the sounds he already knows). When I pointed to them he read them right off, no sounding them out.
