Potty update.

I mentioned the other day about starting to potty train Louisa, well we fell off the wagon for a few days last week, but I’m proud to announce that we are back on the wagon and doing well. Except that the “one at a time” thing didn’t work. If I put a diaper on Annie, she takes it off, so I don’t bother. Neither girl is really doing anything on the potty, but they’re also not having accidents either. Which means that they hold it until I put a diaper on at nap time, then they let loose. But I’m sorta encouraged by the fact that they know when to hold it.

Louisa was so cute just a second ago, she comes to my chair and takes my hand. “come on Mommy! Alex’s room!” Sadly I have a cranky Annie in my lap, and a blog entry to finish. Fortunately her brother took her up on her offer to play.

Do you ever feel like making a big fat mess??? I mean not an ordinary creative mess that comes from creating a scrapbook page or baking a cake, I mean a BIG mess, where your finished product is well, a mess. (I call it nurturing my inner preschooler). I have been so tempted lately to just make a big mess. Here I’ll show you an example of what I’m talking about.
  • Elsie flannigan
  • makes the cutest messes I’ve ever seen. Every time I “try” to make a mess, I end up with the same ol’ thing, a neat and ordinary creation. I’m just not a good mess maker. One of these days though, I’m going to make a really good cute mess, and when I do, I’ll let you know.

I made an Elsie-style mess a few weeks ago. I thought it was so cute, and then Alvin told me it looked like something a grandma would make. LOL! :P Maybe Elsie-style messes are an aquired taste!
