Thoughts

Who’s idea was daylight savings? I mean really. What a dumb concept. It really screws my kids routine up. I’d love to just pitch all the clocks and live with out time. Hmph.
I hear that next year they’re changing the dates that daylight savings occurs. Supposedly pushing it back will save energy. Um lets think about this one. Changing when we change our little clocks does not change when the sun comes up and goes down. It does not change the amount of hours we have natural light. It’s NOT GOING TO SAVE ENERGY. Just make us all a little nuttier. I bet I paid some politician a lot of money to come up with this “theory”.
Ah well. A new month is here, there are a lot of chores around here that happen on the first of the month. Lots of cleaning and reorganizing.
Happy November everyone!

Daylight savings time is for people who work... farmers and such. It's so they don't have to cut their workday short at 4pm...

This way, I can go to work in daylight and leave work in dyalight, instead of going to work in the dark

I think it's dumb too, Elissa. And I still wind up leaving work in the dark. For now I guess I'll just be thankful that it didn't screw up Connor's sleep habits too badly. ;-)

I agree, Elissa - we are ALL screwed up over here since changing the clocks. I'm exhausted all the time!

Daylight Saving Time is actually April - October. We are now in Daylight Standard Time. Daylight Standard Time is what first existed. Daylight Saving Time (or summer time) was started to move an hour of daylight in the morning (who gets up at 5am anyway) to the evening so that we'd have more light later in the day. Last week we just moved back to the way things were originally. More info can be found at http://webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/
