Two girls, a blankie and a pen. In my lap. Fighting over the pen, both trying to write on the same piece of paper. Louisa wants to color on Annie’s hair. Annie’s sitting on Louisa’s blankie, and Louisa wants it back. Annie just sneezed all over the keyboard (and my hands). And yet, I keep typing. Now that’s determination for ya. Attempt to put one down – ha! Not going to happen, so I sit here trying to juggle the whole thing until Louisa has mercy on Mom and gets down. Meanwhile, Alex is yelling at me because I can’t get up to help him tie balloons to a high chair – something about ornaments on a Christmas tree. (I dunno what that means…)
Just an ordinary moment in my life.
So my weekend. I can’t remember. Friday I took the kids over to my parents house to visit with my grandmother who was in town for a few days. Saturday, was my normal errand running event. I discovered a new scrapbook store here in town, (so I had to stop in and check out the competition). It’s always nice to find some new goodies. I ate lunch with my dad, then was on to the normal less than fun errands. Sunday we woke up for church, came home, threw the kids in bed for a nap, so Jory and I could work on our scrapbooks a little. Sunday evening we met with Cathy and her parents for dinner at Applebee’s. It’s always good to get together with them… Then we took the kids over to Meijers to ride in the shopping carts (they’re a cheep date, what can I say). Annie was so excited. As we were walking in, we went past the big row of carts and her eyes got really big. “buggy mama? Please? Mama, buggy? My buggy?” Absolutely adorable. How could I say no…
